Walmar House

Scope of work

Just off of Regents Street, Walmar House provides 38,956 sq ft of modern, open planned offices across six floors.

The entrance reception has Portland stone wall cladding that has been carved to an ornate design, which was undertaken by artists Vong Phaophanit and Claire Oboussier. The design was created in a stonemasons yard located on South London, with finishing touches completed on site.

The Walmar House project was a challenging refurbishment which had been finished to a very high standard. Throughout the project, Portland stone cladding was used on the reception wall to ensure a striking entrance, Clombino flooring was used for the reception floor and lift lobbies, along with Colombino treads and risers to the staircase. Small format floor tiling was used in the commercial toilets, and wall and floor tiling used for the residential toilets.

The floor installation proved challenging as the architect required the floor to be of all one shade, and the Colobino stone is a natural material, however it was finished to an excellent standard.
