FAIR PAYMENT

The NSCC Fair Payment Campaign is designed to improve payment practices in the construction industry. With backing at the highest level, the award-winning campaign is calling for proper and timely payment and the elimination of retentions throughout the supply chain to improve the quality and delivery of construction projects.

The Fair Payment Campaign provides a range of support to help Specialist Contractors protect their money including checking the credit worthiness of potential clients, get their contracts right, improving cash flow, and resolving disputes.

MAPEI CPD

Founded in Milan in 1937, Mapei is today’s world leader in the production of adhesives and chemical products for building. The Group now counts 70 subsidiaries with 64 production facilities in operation over 31 countries and 5 continents.

Mapei’s seven RIBA assessed and accredited CPDs provide a valuable tool for Architects, Specifiers and Contractors across the UK and Ireland.

The Supply Chain Sustainability School is for everybody working in the Construction, FM, Homes and Infrastructure sectors who work in England, Scotland and Wales.  They cover a wealth of topics from Waste & Carbon, Fairness Inclusion and Respect and The Modern Slavery Act as well as many more sustainability issues.

CHAS

In 1997 CHAS started with two main aims.

  1. To improve health and safety standards across Great Britain.
  2. To reduce duplicated safety applications for both suppliers and buyers.

These days we have more than 500 public and private sector buyer organisations, such as councils, housing associations, NHS trusts, including a growing number of large private companies who employ sub-contractors.

ENVIRONMENT

ISO 14001:2015

The ISO 14000 family of standards provides practical tools for companies and organizations of all kinds looking to manage their environmental responsibilities.

ISO 14001:2015 and its supporting standards such as ISO 14006:2011 focus on environmental systems to achieve this. The other standards in the family focus on specific approaches such as audits, communications, labelling and life cycle analysis, as well as environmental challenges such as climate change.

THE TILE ASSOCIATION

Formed in January 2000, The Tile Association represents the whole of the UK wall and floor tile industry under one organisation. It has more than doubled in size since originally formed and now has more than 950 members, consisting of tiling contractors, fixers, distributors, retailers and manufacturers.

Its mission is to promote professionalism and technical standards in the tiling industry, as well as provide technical support to both members and their customers.

FIS, formerly AIS FPDC, represents companies involved in all aspects of interior fit-out, refurbishment and building finishes.  A truly vertically integrated trade association, members are from across the supply chain including main interior contractors, specialist fit-out and finishes contractors, manufacturers and distributors.

CONSTRUCTIONLINE

A national online database, the UK’s largest register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants. In terms of efficiency, time and cost saving and best practice, Constructionline is proven to deliver.

For suppliers to the construction industry, Constructionline means that you no longer need to repeatedly fill in standard pre-qualification forms for every construction tender. More than 8,000 buyers already use the Constructionline database to source contractors and consultants.

BUILDERS PROFILE

The Builder’s Profile is an online service providing a greener, paperless way for companies to exchange common pre-qualification information – removing the need for paper pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and all the associated inefficiencies, costs and waste. It is available for all main contractors and clients to collect and maintain data on their entire supply chain.

FLEET OPERATOR RECOGNITION SCHEME

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is an accreditation scheme that aims to improve fleet activity throughout the UK and beyond.

FORS is voluntary and open to any company operating a fleet including vans, lorries, mini-buses and coaches.

SMAS WORKSAFE

In January 2018, we gained a SMAS Worksafe certificate. This means that we have met the SSIP core criteria recognised by the HSE and other SSIP accreditation schemes.

Meeting the SSIP Core Criteria demonstrates that we are serious about H&S and have (and use) an effective H&S Management System to ensure that any work they are engaged in is, so far as reasonably practical, carried out without risk to health and safety.
