| Most materials available in larger formats, can be sourced in this smaller typically 20x20 to 50x50mm module e.g. glass, porcelain, ceramic & marble. Choice of assembly material is of paramount importance and will provide a greater installation quality & delivery.
Lengths or 'runs' of wall ideally to be full cube tessera format to avoid cutting as much as possible. Ensure internal and external wall angles are plumb.
Backgrounds must be particularly flat as undulations will express themselves on the finished surface with the opening/closing of grout joints.
Colour of grout should ideally match that of the mosaic chosen.
Preference should be made in the choice of sheet assembly material i.e. hessian back, siliconed corners, paper or clear film face.
Care to be taken to avoid the visual appearance around each sheet.
Setting out of room to be checked and agreed.
Inherent in this material is slight twisting and chipped tessera, both are an acceptable part of this product. |
