Health & Safety Policy & Practices

Introduction

In accordance with Section 2 (3) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (and subsequent British and European Commission requirements on health and safety), the Company has developed a health and safety policy whose general tenets are expressed in terms of the following three areas: general policy, an implementation strategy and company organisation.

General Policy

It is the policy of this Company:

  • To safeguard the health, safety and well-being of all its employees and, as far as is practicable, to provide safe working environments.
  • To undertake its operations in a way which also ensures, as far as is practicable, the health and safety of non-employees who are in the same working environments.
  • To meet its statutory requirements pertaining to health and safety in an efficient and responsible manner.
  • To provide protective clothing for its employees and to ensure that all plant and equipment complies with safety standards.
  • To liaise with the appropriate authorities on matters concerning health and safety at work.
  • To have the Directors act as Company Safety Officers and in that capacity to:
  • (a) Monitor the health and safety policy’s implementation, and,
  • (b) Advise employees and staff on new developments in safe working practices.
